SPACECOM is a hardcore multiplayer meditative strategy game where deception, smart movement and choice of battle decide victory or defeat. It's a minimalistic game design etude on mechanics of real-time tactics and strategy. The game focuses on the core of what makes strategy and tactical games fun: coming up with a plan, outsmarting, outmaneuvering your opponent and beating his strategy rather than speed of clicking, graphics, tech trees and tons of custom mechanics.

Moving pictures again! For a good weekend kickoff we're sharing Battle Report #2, showcasing a bigger map and a completely different gameplay style.

Battle Report #1 took place on a medium-sized map and showed how a battle can easily go south with too much hubris and carelessness. The following footage takes place on a larger map, Orion Nebula, and is a site of a very different gameplay situation.

Long travel distances, scarce resources present mostly in no man's land lead easily to fortified defence positions and attrition warfare. Check out the video (heavily sped up, for viewing convenience) below:


The next update should have us deploying a new playable build with integrated feedback system, some fixes, balance tweaks and additional polish. If the Stars are Right this should happen sometime next week. Stay tuned!
