Solar Sails is a satirical space adventure game with action-RPG elements. Control a pirate ship, plunder the royal navy, launch a scout duck to search for treasures, upgrade your ship with alien technologies, and sail onwards to unveil the darkest secrets of the universe that ought to seal its fate.

Play like a pirate

The game takes place in a weird universe inspired by Treasure Planet, Rick and Morty, Star Control, and various ancient mythologies. It is inhabited by unique alien races and controlled by two human superpowers locked in a cold war and economic turmoil.

Amidst all this mess, you control a team of space pirates. To make a living, you smuggle various illegal goods, raid trade convoys, and search for alien artifacts to sell on the black market. But be wary, some artifacts are very powerful, and were hidden for a reason.

• Cook Giant Pasta in space to win the favor of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and gain some special abilities as a reward.
• Play alone in Single Player mode or together with a friend in Local Co-op mode.

Story

The story revolves around four main characters - a gruesome self-loathing captain with a bunch of actual skeletons in his closet, an underappreciated young engineer who searches for his long-gone cat, a young cadet with mystic powers accused of intergalactic terrorism who seeks to find out the truth about her past, and a time-traveling mast duck determined to prevent the end of the galaxy in the near future. Each with their own secret goals in mind, they seem to forget they are on the same boat.
