Will this release on GOG?
Screw the VR version. I'm getting that **** even if it's pre-Alpha.
Is this gonna be out any time soon? I'm having trouble holding on to this Dosh waiting for the game to come out.
Split screen! Instant purchase the second it'll be available on steam. Serious Sam was always a couch sharing experience for me.
Beautiful art, will be watching with interest.
Haven't heard anything in forever. Wonder when this is is gonna be finished.
Looks cool - tracking!
Love the art, tracking!;-)
I guess you are in contact with the original title owners. I am suprised to see this :)
I like the "doom-guy" like implementation of the head.
Is this using the same engine with Hammerwatch?
Yes, this is an "official" indie-title with Serious Sam. I think the series would do great as an top down shooter I hope others will too.
I love references and the "Doom"-head is a great idea they had back in the days, you can show status effects there and it looks cool when he's damaged!
It's not using the same engine, we are writing a new engine, in C++ and using Angel Script as a base for scripts, we want this new engine to be much more moddable than HW ever was.
Much more moddable?
Hmm..
Looking forward to it. :)
Awesome. If I recall correctly Hammerwatch was using OpenTK. Or was OpenTK used only for the editor? Are you using SDL, SFML or some similar framework for your new engine in C++?
Can't wait to see the final version of the game, best of luck with your project!
Sorry I didn't see this earlier. Hammerwatch was first released using OpenTK but I later switched that for SDL2-CS. The editor uses combined OpenTK/SDL2-CS thing for the WinForms control.
The new C++ engine is currently using SDL, but like with Hammerwatch it's only used for window and input management so it's quick and easy to change if needed.
Oh, I don't know those specifics, the coder does, I'll see if he can reply to this a bit later =)
