Is there a way to play the game with dual joystick controls instead of keyboard & mouse?
I really enjoyed the demo, by the way.
Yes, you can play ST12 with two controllers (xbox 360 controller or compatible), or a combination of keyboard & mouse for one player and controller for the other player.
Thanks for the response. The reason I asked was because I couldn't find a way to switch from K&M controls to joystick in the demo, but as it turns out, this was because the game didn't recognize my (non-xbox 360 compatible) controller, so the option simply wasn't there. I eventually got it to work with a third party driver, though.
Glad to hear you got it working!
Is the game only local multiplayer?
I purchased the game in hope that me and my friend all the way over in Portugal could play together.
Sorry to tell you, but the game is only single player or local multiplayer.
The patch is out now and available in v1.0.0.9 build which fixes the locale issues, and vsync and lighting is turned off by default in the options.
Thanks!
A new patch v1.0.0.11 has been submitted.
Fixed - Issue with Russian and Japanese locale number formats causing cut scenes to exit to windows with error 'Input string was not in a correct format"
Fixed - Map data wasn't being cleared out if a game was loaded with less progress
