Description
Sand is a top-down, base building, RPG character development, survival-lite, story-driven game about exploring the wasteland on the back of a llama doing the biding of a cube that fell from the sky.
History
Voided Pixel Studios was started in 2013 releasing free to play games exclusively on the Android market and published their first PC game The Superfluous in 2016. In 2019 they will release a card game called DICEY CRAFTING.
Voided Pixel Studios was created by Adam Truncale (who teaches computer science at the high school level) after several of his students asked him how they would create and publish a mobile game. Throughout that school year, Adam and his students designed a game and published in on the Google Play store. That game was Tappy Flap Family. Ever since then Adam has created and published many more mobile games.
With many years of development, and a few more people working for Voided Pixel Studios, they are finally ready to move into the PC game market. Their first game The Superfluous is now available on STEAM.
In 2019 VPS published another card game called Dicey Crafting while continuing development of a project code-named Sand (the sequel to The Superfluous)
The Superfluous has two different endings. One in which earth is bombarded with asteroids and one where the earth is saved. For the sequel, I had to choose one ending to start the game with. I chose the apocalypse, for obvious reasons. Dark humor and weirdness abound in Sand: A Superfluous Game. You'll meet several characters from the previous game, but you won't need to have played it to understand it.
