R/E/M is the collective work of a group of 8 Queensland University of Technology Game Design students. The game is an ambitious attempt to bring a return to the good old days of classic beat 'em ups whilst adding a bit of spin to the genre with the addition of platforming puzzle elements. The game has been in development for around 6 months now and is currently approaching the final stages, with a demo release expected within the coming weeks.

Hey All

Once again apologies for the lack of the updates, its been a pretty hectic last couple of weeks trying to get so many new mechanics into the game. The game is fast approaching shippable status however so keep checking back as we'll have a beta download ready soon. I'm not going to bother updating this site with a backlog of production news but if you wish to know more or see a more detailed description of whats been happening the last couple of weeks then check out our facebook page and like us Facebook.com

Anyway here's a copy of the latest news update.

Well its been another productive week for the REM team completing the redesign of level two and implementing many new pivotal gameplay mechanics. The rage meter has been put into the game now allowing players to build up rage and expel it for more powerful attacks ^_^ We've also put in a Dash cooldown that lets players know when they are able to use Dash again. Aside from that there has been the addition of new secret areas and alternative pathways that reward players for exploration and of course all the other little bug fixing stuff that goes on behind the scenes.

Note we have now finished our formal testing period however we will still continue the testing process right up until the final release of the game in five weeks time. So if your interested drop one of the team memebers a line through the usual methods.

Also Trailer Next Week!!!

Cheers

REM Team
