Hey guys its been another great week for the REM team. Heaps of new essential mechanics have been added to the game. We have implemented the rage meter. Essentially this is a meter that will build up over time and when activated will increase your attack power for a certain period of time. The rage meter can also be spent for powerful attacks such as the new AOE ground slam. Rage is built up as you kill enemies and collect red essence however there are plenty of new secret areas to be found that can offer an additional bonus to your rage meter ;) We have also given the character the ability to juggle enemies so now you can hit an enemy in the air and continue hitting them in the air, thus avoiding any damage to yourself.
We have also finished off many non gameplay components such as the player options menu, rage meter indicator and the start splash screen. With all that now in the game we are getting very close to releasing the game for you all to play. Basically we are now in an optimisation stage, we shouldn't be adding anything additional to the game, but rather just ironing out all the little bugs and ensuring the game is capable of running smoothly on a variety of machines .
I know you were all promised a trailer this week but as we are trying to make sure the trailer is absolutely the best it can be, we are going to need another week to get that to you all.
