Purgatory: Echoes From The Void is an upcoming Adventure RPG developed by a two man team. Purgatory is set in a series of interconnected realms, occupied by a unique cast of characters. These characters will feature heavily in an intricate story, through which the player will be faced with ethical and philosophical dilemmas and eventually learn the true nature of their surroundings. Purgatory's story will be compelling and lengthy, involving multiple endings and branching questlines, the conclusions of which are subject to the player's own choices, Everything within the world of Purgatory has been meticulously hand crafted, both digitally, and physically, using many real world props created by us, and then inserted into the game. Harkening back to earlier games of the 90's Purgatory will also feature live action cutscenes and interaction, alongside the moment to moment gameplay, as such we feel the game has a visual style entirely unlike anything else. Thanks for reading :)
Alpha Gameplay Footage Released.
Proudly presenting our first Alpha gameplay video. Here you can see the main character exploring The Polis, the central hub town of Purgatory.
It should be noted this is not a final build and elements like the UI and animation are still being perfected.
Here is a snapshot of the characters that will inhabit The Polis, with many more to come, each with distinct personalities and aesthetics. NPC's will feature their own individual influence systems and respond dynamically to your actions and choices. Furthermore the town itself will transform over time in response to your decisions, and it's fate will be in your hands.
