In Project Wingman the player will be placed against all odds with their Wingman and allies fighting for Air Superiority in a fast paced dogfight situation.

The full game will have:

  • A full campaign mode
  • Mercenary mode
  • Authentic looking aircraft based on real-world aircraft
  • Multi loadout system - Equip your aircraft with a proper loadout so that you always have an advantage against your enemies.
  • Fight Giant flying fortresses and deadly enemy aces.

Greetings, my name is FlyAwayNow and I am one of the people on the Project Wingman Team. It's about time to get this page up to snuff. Although this probably won't be the main method of getting updates to this game, that doesn't mean we won't try here. So without further adieu:

Project Wingman is an independently developed combat flight action game with an emphasis on refined gameplay, true-to-its-roots inspirations, and a single player experience that will put the player in the flightsuit of a mercenary combat pilot in a world on fire. Players will dogfight, strike, and fly through combat zones based in a fictional world. All this rendered in the cutting edge Unreal Engine 4 with authentic visuals.

Players will not only fly, but fight against real life and fictional weapon systems based off of time-tested and cutting edge designs in battlefield where smart AI can go toe to toe with even the best of players.

Providing both a traditional, single player experience in a story mode, and a new strategical rougelike-lite mode, Project Wingman aims to deliver a war in the sky that the player can test themselves in.

Looking to the future, Virtual Reality headsets will work ingame to put the player in the cockpit of aerial warfare as never seen before in this genre and scope, immersing themselves in head swivelling combat, compatible with the entire gameplay experience.

This is amazing but PLEASE consider having an editor of some sort for the full game.

Awesome work so far. We all have been so hungry for an arcade air combat game this good for so long.

There's some problem with the menu though. When you try to exit the current setting window you're in by pressing ESC, that screen will stuck there. Going back through the menu and selecting the same screen will add another layer over the old one. Can only be removed by restarting the mission or quit to menu.
