Prime psp is a Metroid fan-game for the play station portable. We plan to bring you The good points of Metroid. We do not rip anything or use anything from the Metroid games except the idea. The core concept of Metroid. We differ our style as well. All rights to Metroid belong to Nintendo, and Nintendo only.
This is The second edit. I still have much to do, But I didn't want you to be mislead by the other HUD. This is By far not final. I still have to put the Health where it needs to be and lots of other Goodies need to be added to the HUD which I am doing. I did not rip a thing From metroid Prime Hunters. If I were to, A whole Bunch of stuff would come out wrong, and It is way funner and more accomplishing to make your own Content ;)

I like it, but I have to say that while not directly ripping objects from Hunters you did rip an idea, so don't get too almighty. Regardless, it looks good thus far and is coming along nicely. We just need a bit more graphical finesse. I'm sure as we go along and as I unload projects from myself I'll want to eventually put my spin on this.
I am aloud to rip Ideas. It is using them as a reference. And I have a pretty good Knowledge of Metroid HUDS. I liked this one, So I made it. I bet you will remake it, But I like this one.
Nintendo can't sue me for Liking their idea, Or using their idea as a reference. However, I can see so if I ripped it, But I didn't.
Just because you changed some colors and placements doesn't mean it's yours, as the design is still almost the same, and you're not allowed to rip anything, that's the point behind the copyrights of Intellectual Property that Nintendo holds on the entirety of the Metroid property. Even 1% of similarity is enough to sue and ground any project. Trust me, I've had a straight year of classes regarding these very things. But a non-profit project like ours won't usually draw the attention necessary for filing suit. I'm not trying to argue with you, all I'm saying is don't be high and mighty about it. Regardless, I'm amazed how well you've integrated the HUD into the engine and it's definitely making it feel more like a Metroid game. I think some things need to be altered for continuity with our Tetra model but so far so good.
I figured you would redo the HUD anyways. But keep it blue. And The Weapon Icons aren't changing. Those are custom.

I am working on actually Moving the time and Player to a new Location. It might not be too far away though...
