Note: Fair warning, this game is going on five years old, and I wrote it when I was 15 or 16 years old. As such, the story does get a bit cheesy towards the end and there might be inconsistencies/unlikely character quirks etc.
One Night is a survival horror game made in RPG Maker VX, released in late 2009. It holds the dubious honour of being the very first survival horror game made for the engine.
A frightening Resident Evil-esque experience, One Night challenges you to escape from "The Complex", a crumbling, abandoned research facility while being hunted mercilessly by the remnants of a long forgotten experiment. Relentless monsters and difficult puzzles await around every corner - can you survive the horror?

Hot on the heels of the Legionwood Mac port that was released last week, One Night has now been ported to Mac OS thanks to the efforts of the Jammed Gears Productions team, finally making it possible to enjoy some good old fashioned survival horror on a MacBook.
I don't know anything about Macs or how to make RPG Maker games run on them, but one thing I know is that a lot of Mac users have emailed me over the years asking if a Mac port of One Night was available. It's nice to know that these people are now able to play the game and discover what they've been missing. At this point, the game seems to run just fine on Macs with no hiccups or errors and beta testers have reported being able to complete the game successfully.
The Mac version of the game is available to download here. You can also check it out in this Youtube video:

there will be someday a version with Spanish translations? please :c because the puzzles are kinda difficult to resolve *-*
I can't speak Spanish so I can't do it myself, but if anybody would like to translate it, I will offer my support. There is a French version floating around somewhere, and I have a Chinese translation that has been completed but not implemented yet.
when I finish all the games, certainly I will collaborate to make the translations, i'm not an expert speaking english but i really want try, we'll be keep in touch (:

I just started a let's play series of this game, i just posted 1 video and i would like to know if you're okay with me doing a let's play.
The game One Night 1 and One Night 2 The Beyond its much good fantastic, more games of the One Night saga is bad. Exemple: One night 3 and 4 its much bad
Exellent game. There are really just a couple minor problems with the game in my opinion, my biggest complaint being that I would have liked to have been able to save before the final boss fight so i wouldn't have had to redo a bunch of stuff before being able to fight him again. Perhaps you did this on purpose to make the boss battle more exiting, knowing the consequences of losing, but to me its just a bit of a killjoy. Its also the only thing keeping me from giving this game a 10. Great work, I look forward to playing the next installments.
Thanks for the comments! If you have any Compact Discs left, they allow you to save anywhere, so using one before the final boss will make the end game a bit less irritating.
I never really thought that RPGs could really be that scary but this one got me :D Well done on the game!
