The game features old school point and click gameplay with an amazing art style. Every scene looks like a painting and after playing the game, I felt a strong urge to go outside and watch the night sky in a deep forest. As with any point and click the story is the best part, if you're a fan of point and clicks and miss this game you'll regret it!

I enjoyed the fact that each creature you meet gets recorded in your "library" so that you can hear their description again and watch the beautiful artwork. For only 9.99 this is a must buy for anyone interested in the genre or mythology because honestly, how much do you really know about swedish folklore?

A true work of art.
Backgrounds and characters are beautifully handpainted. The art style is very unique: it's dark without being depressing. A deep sense of myth and mystery floats in every screen of the game. Every tiny light seems so bright and comforting!

Wandering in the never-ending night, the player meets various creatures from the Swedish folklore.
They can be funny, touching, reassuring or frightening.
Their voices are all acted by one man: Brian Hall who offers a strong and beautiful performance.

Playing Oknytt is an unparalleled & engrossing travel to an unknown world.

It's a great game. An adventure in all meanings. The story is touching, the art - pleasant and stylish, the in-game Lore library is quite educational. And the small creature's voice is very funny. :)

pure adventure awesomeness. amazing atmosphere, cool puzzles and story. very fitting dark and slow pace. The only thing I could think of that needs more work were the voices, which can get annoying.

Brilliant, splendid and awesome came together, to form this very special Indie !

A nice story told through narration and adventure. I found some of the puzzles to be just random trying which made me frustrayed but I thought it was still a nice game.

Fine
