Description

I added the second slots for boots and gauntlets to complete the primary equipment set. Gauntlets and boots are the shittiest pieces of equipment, by having two of each there is a better chance you will drop those when you die instead of more valuable pieces. Even though the same item is used in both slots, the sprite is flipped when drawing the right ones to better match a natural human stance. Weapons and armor also have stats now. Armor effects a characters total hit points, weapons effect attack speed and damage.

Overall, there have been some pretty big changes to combat and equipment. The biggest change is how combat timers are handled. Combat timers now go up when standing near a target, as opposed to set intervals. This will eliminate timer abuse where you can avoid enemy hits if you move tile-by-tile at the right times. There are now sound effects when you take damage or when you deal damage to another player. There is a base sound that plays with each hit and randomly one of five pain noises will overlay it. I was lucky enough to find two unique voices with five unique grunts thanks to OpenGameArt.org. Lastly, items that become equipment will remember their locations. When you unequip one it will return to its previous location instead of being stacked in the top/left corner.
