For all those concerned, I can confirm that the Desura version of this game does *not* require Steam to run. If it did in the past, it doesn't now. Really enjoying the game too, very pleasant surprise for me.
So just to confirm, do you get a drm free download when buying this?. That doesnt require the game to be registered on steam?
An update to the game is in progress, but it is in queue behind things we need to work on for our current project. When the update is finished the Desura version will be available as well.
I assume this will be an actual DRM-free version?
I'm assuming that means a Desura-only version and not one that needs Steam? I bought the game on Steam a year or two ago, and loved it (see my review), but I'd love to see it free from Steam if for no other reason than it would placate the people who seem to think it's the end of the world to sell a Steam game through Desura.
It just seems a little immature to rate a game a 1 because someone doesn't like it being tied to steam.
Let me oppose you, Its not end of world to sell steam game on Desura, Its just plain idiocy mixed with grotesque. How do you fee Steam selling desura keys without actual game? awkward, right? Same thing wit Desura - its not a key reseller for steam.
Its ok if developer includes steam key with purchase, its showing how generous it is, but to not include anything else and force desura customer to use steam client? Yes, it is end of sane world after all. and as one who oppose such practice i dont feel myself immature, i feel annoyed.
And, since developer releasing here normal steamless version here i going to lift my negative standing on this game, certainly
You know, if whoever did the art for this game made a point and click adventure, I would play that. It's a shame the wonderful artwork is so misleading about what you actually do in the game. I expected some really cool adventure game or at least a visual novel.
Why does this have such a low rating? It looks cool but...that rating seems odd.
People are giving low ratings because it requires Steam to run.
Huh, I thought they gave it a low rating because it's a match 3 game. :V
