This update gives a closer look and details on the team for No Man's Land.

The Team

No Man's Land is being developed by Black Howler Studios LLC, an extremely passionate Indie company based in Seattle, WA. Black Howler was founded on December 1st, 2013 by Vincent Van Hoof, Joel Garvin, and Christian Thomas. No Man's Land is our first project, and we have many talented people bringing this game to life.


Christian Thomas

Art Director / 3D Artist / Co-Designer

Christian Thomas is an experienced 3D modeler that is an essential part in creating the world of No Man's Land. Creating environments, machines, characters and assets following strict guidelines from concepts for best functionality is what Christian does on a daily basis. Making sure the game looks amazing is what Christian does best.

Joel Garvin

Creative Director / 3D Artist / Co-Designer

Joel Garvin is a 3D artist, game designer, and co-founder of Black Howler Studios. Coming from a family of artists and scientists, digital art is a natural medium for him. Video games are Joel's passion because of their unique interactive and social qualities that allow players to experience another world and share it with friends.

Vincent Van Hoof

Project Director / Concept Artist / Co-Designer

Since his childhood, Vincent knew that creating concept art for games is what he wants to do. He has deeply invested in developing his skills, receiving a college art degree, doing freelance illustration, and working on several Indie Games. He actively seeks and receives feedback mentorship from some of the industry's greatest concept artists. His main role for the project No Man's Land is creating high quality concept art and developing the look of the game. He also assists with game design, manages schedules, timelines, social media, and organizes the team to make sure the project is on track.

Steven Hoover

Technical Director / Programmer

Steven is a Unity professional and the man behind the technical side of making No Man's Land work. He has a speedy workflow and excellent communication skills.

Justin Jennings

Audio Engineer / Composer

Justin Jennings is one of the two audio engineers working on No Man's Land. His job consists of working closely with the rest of the team to create original musical compositions and sound effects that will be used in the game, No Man's Land. Basically, if it's audio and in the game, he helped make it!
