During the process of making I Will Escape, we have made some modifications to the Blender engine. Blender's open-source license means anyone can use, edit and distribute the software as they want. This has given us the freedom to modify the engine to fit the game. Open-source is a great initiative, it offers a lot of opportunities for starting companies.
