Description
Inspired by my own grief journey, join Azrael and The Ghost on an indie adventure to put grief in a grave. Take a stroll down memory lane as Azrael to remember the good times he and his father had by culling the nightmares imprisoning them. Guided by an old journal, search 6 levels to uncover grief triggers and eliminate Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANTs) within them.Asymmetric Turn-Based Combat:The player and ANT share a health bar and fight for total supremacy over it.
History
In 2018 my father died unexpectedly in a car crash. I struggled with grief for 2 years assuming time alone would make it better... that wasn't working. I decided to go on what I dubbed a "grief adventure" and traveled to all the places we made memories. I forced myself to live all those moments out again and learned to love those places and hobbies once more.
Being a game developer by trade, I thought my adventure could make for a compelling game and perhaps help others stuck in grief like I was.
