Play as Jouren as you take up the mantle of a fallen knight to journey through a myriad of environments and battle hordes of twisted creatures; on a quest to stop the evil Alchemist and free his grip from your homeland! Grapple Knight is a momentum based, action platformer that pays homage to the games of the late 80's and early 90's that Red Knight Games grew up with.

When defeating stage bosses we intend to reward the player with an item or ability that will allow them to go back to previous levels and access paths or areas that were previously locked providing a sort of metroid-vania type area access to obvious locations that you had run by previously but weren't able to interact with at the time.

Examples of the two we have decided to go with currently are the spirit hammer and winged boots:

  • The spirit hammer is used to break down cracked or fragile walls to unlock hidden paths, shortcuts and tombs with all kinds of goodies inside.
  • The winged boots are to be used in conjunction with a type of jump pad or up gush of wind. The idea being that you would use the winged boot ability at this location to be launched up to an incredible height which again would entail secret areas or shortcuts.

What we would like to hear from you the players are ideas for other boss powers that you would like to see in the game, keeping in mind that they need to revolve around the idea of unlocking or giving access to areas that were previously unattainable.
