"Gods from the Abyss" is a side scroller beat'em up with an eldritch ambience. For single or local co-op two players game, it tries to give the same fighting experience like classic arcade brawlers like "Golden Axe", "TMNT", "Final Fight", etc.

If you go by the Chinese pop culture and kung fu flick, the Shaolin absolutely do not teach women nor even let one stay in their temple over the night to learn from their practice by watching.
There's an alternative to that in Mount Emei sect. A rival sect of nuns that will not allow men to step foot on their mountain temple. While Shaolin excelled in 'Strong' technique like Iron/Bronze/Gold Body and Staff combat, The Emei nun excelled in 'speed' technique such as Qi-Gong/Light Body and various graceful Jian fencing combat.
