Horses are an important part of Brazilian history. They came from Europe in ships during the Discovery Era. Some of the native tribes learned how to ride horses and started to use them at war. The Portuguese Army had mounted units in the New World and used the horses on the battlefield against the Dutch. After the independence, cavalary was very important for the Empire of Brazil in many wars.
To implement mounts was very hard, but we was able to do that after working hard.
