Lol want to see you shoot something 600m away from this position. You can press your head/eye on that rubbery pad on scope. This is what you are supposed to see - Youtube.com
we don't add a rubbery pad because you will have a bad viewport as for the game, and as for reality you don't always have enough time to add it.
and if you are talking about Youtube videos can check this one Youtube.com or any other videos of snipers in action :)
You really need to take whole team to some shooting range, even if it is to just try pistols
