Freedoom Version v0.5 file

Update: Added dummy sounds to replicate V0.5 further, though relatively no sprite changes. TEXTURE1 and PNAMES files have been added, so hopefully no texture errors are found. This also means you can play this as a PWAD for DOOM2.WAD (and DOOM.WAD), though I still don't advise that. LOGO textures are now in the freedmmaps.wad file instead of the freedoomv05.wad file.

Boom-compatible source port required to play as some maps make use of Boom features and surpass Vanilla limits.

Since the IWAD file for V0.5 isn't up for download anymore due to copyright reasons, and with the closest to
playing it is by having to build the WAD yourself on its Github page, I went out of my way to building this
version of Freedoom as a PWAD and attempt to replicate what V0.5 could have been. Of course, not all sprites were replaced, some came from V0.6.4, V0.7, and as far as V0.8 as some sprites aren't in the source code (or source files?) and it would be a hassle and probably not so great to see a "dummy graphic" telling you that this sprite isn't finished. Regardless, it was an attempt to the best of my ability.

Most of the contents in the PWAD contain what was in the source code, so I had to guess what were dummy sounds at least. Sprites remain untouched so you wouldn't have so many floating "this graphic is not done" sprites all over some levels. Some dummy maps are included, mostly to indicate that there was no playable map or a map that can be finished, so a press of a button skips it. I highly advise that you use the Freedoom IWADs to play this PWAD as you'll have missing textures if you attempt playing on the original Doom IWADs.

What This Package Includes:

-32 map-ish set of levels for freedoom2.wad
-Many sounds and graphics from V0.5 of Freedoom
-A fullish Episode 1 for freedoom1.wad, though be warned, some maps aren't the best of quality!
-Levels for E2M1, E3M1, and E4M1 for freedoom1.wad
-Music for all 32 maps in freedoom2.wad, music for E1M1, E1M5, E2M1, E3M1, and E4M1 for freedoom1.wad
-A PWAD called freedmmaps.wad, which contains the 15 maps for FreeDM from the source code. Hope you have friends...

Various text files for V0.5 of Freedoom are included, with the exception of the CREDITS file, which is from V0.8. If you come across any issues (assuming you somehow play much of this), send me a message or email and I'll try to address it.
