Switching to Unreal Engine 4 and IndieGoGo issues. Development so far has been slow and we apologize that the engine switch will set it back another year at least, but the game will be a much higher quality title because of this.

Switching to Unreal Engine 4
I was very hesitant about making this decision, but i then i saw the price of UE4 and couldn't say no. Some followers may see this as a bad decision due to the extra delay in development. Others, like me, may see the improvements this change will make.

First of all, this change was made because of thee price difference between UE4 and Unity Pro. Monthly, UE4 costs $19 while Unity Pro costs a whopping $75 monthly.

Unreal Engine 4, however wasn't my only choice. I also considered switching to Cry Engine, however the deciding factor was not only the graphics, but also the user friendlyness of to tools. I personally feel that UE4 is much tidyer than what Cry Engine is which will allow me to get used to the engine far quicker.

Overall, i believe i have made the right choice. Leave your feedback in the comments. The new version of the game will not start development until October. I feel it's only fair if i switch the engine used on this website to UE4 when i have some screenshots ready.

The problem with the IndieGoGo
While this could just be down to me being impatient, 10 days in and we still haven't raised a penny for the IndieGoGo campaign. If it fails, i will continue work on the game but it'll mean an even longer delay. We are seriously struggling for money at the moment and without your help, this game will probably end up in development for years to come. The money recieved will mean a speedier development with a bigger team.

Igg.me

Currently, our main concern is raising the money and making concepts. We plan on releasing concepts of characters and weapons in the coming weeks, though we will not show enemies as we want them to surprise you in the final release. Thanks for your support.

EDIT 20/09/2014:

Development will begin in a few weeks.
Development will start out in UE4 in october. No videos until i have a GPU.
Redoing Poseidon base concept.
Designing weapons.
Figuring out layouts for the base.

EDIT 16/11/2014:

Switching engine again, this time final. (will reveal later)
Having a few hiccups regarding source code for the game. Will be fixed very soon.
