The 5th Subject is a survival horror inspired by "The Russian Sleep Experiment" creepypasta.

Post news Report RSS Nyctophobia Update #1

This game has been in development for a week now and i am surprised at how well it's turning out. I have managed to create what is in my opinion a fairly creepy atmosphere but i believe i could really expand it...

So, i am turning this from a small slender ripoff to a large, story driven game with improved visuals and gameplay. While it is still in very early progress, i feel confident that me and my friend can pull it off.

How will it play?
The game will play like a cross between Slender, Half-Life and a little bit of Resident Evil. Instead of cutscenes, i'll be resorting to using the gameplay and visuals to tell the story and the world, while explorable, will be built in sections like Resident Evil and will include survival horror elements like Resident Evil.

The Story
The story is rough at the moment, but it centers around Peter Johnson. A guard working for the laboratory's that conducted the sleep experiment. Unfortunately, everyone in the facility has gone insane after a gas leak. Peter must traverse his way through the labs to ultimately make his way out. A journey that leaves him questioning his sanity...

Horror
This game is a survival horror, and i don't plan on being lazy with it and adding ridiculous action sequences. Instead, the game will focus on the use of your environment and melee weapons you find throughout. Through the entire game, there'll be at most 1-3 guns, but ammo for them will be a luxury.

This all just about describes the game so far. As for update news, in the next week or 2 i'll be opening an IndieGoGo campaign in order to raise the money required to make this game to the best of our ability. The money raised will go towards the hardware and software required to make this game something great. We'll still make the game, regardless of the results of the campaign but if it goes well, the game will be much better.

More info on this will come when it's ready.

Thanks for your support :)
