Eight Days in Convoke is an upcoming gravity driven action game reminiscent of the 1979 game Lunar Lander. Production started just under a month ago and the game has come a long way. Since its initial alpha build many features have been added including a menu system, music and real time bloom. To find a list of updates and planned releases, please stay tuned. The game is set for a commercial release on January 1st 2012.
It's been a long journey for reasons I cant quite fathom, but I can now announce that Eight Days in Convoke – Orient is finished , has been submitted for approval and is now available. It should be available in the next few days through Desura.
It should be noted that your copy of Eight Days in Convoke will not notify you of the new release. You will have to update through the Desura client itself or through downloading the latest .ZIP standalone. Another note is that saved games and settings will not carry over into the updated game meaning you will have to play through the vanilla levels again if you wish to restore your star collection to its previous state, or you can edit the “data.save” file if you feel you wish to restore your hard earned stars without replaying.
The DLC includes;
You can get all this for free by updating your copy of the game. If you haven’t already purchased Eight Days in Convoke you can do so by clicking the button below or you can read on and grab yourself a deal!
As I alluded to above, Eight Days in Convoke is available at the moment through The Mothership Bundle over at IndieBundle.org (A link can be found here: Indiebundle.org). You can grab a copy of Eight Days in Convoke, Mayhem Intergalactic and Beware Planet Earth! For only $5 and redeem your code on Desura. Plus you will receive a free copy of Fulmination when your purchase the bundle.
Thanks for reading and I apologise for how long it has taken to complete this update.
Enjoy the new levels!
-Chris

I edited the Controls and put the thrust as Space, then started the game. Found out that Space was already Abduct, So I tryed to put the controls back to what they were, I can't seem to move at all, and only thing I can seem to do is crash by using all the fuel by useing the Abduct key
Hi there.
I've never come across that bug but resetting the control scheme manually should fix any issues. Open your Eight Days in Convoke folder "C:\Program Files\Desura\Common\Eight Days in Convoke\data" (Desura Install) and open "config.dat" in notepad.
Replace what ever is in the file with;
"37,39,38,40"
(excluding quotation marks)
That should reset controls to default, hope that helps!
I was already pretty impressed with Fulmination's unique style of Missile Command-esque gameplay, but seeing as you're giving away 8DIC free this weekend, and 8DIC is pretty fun, I think I'm definitely going to grab Fulmination soon.
I Just bought this game , and is pretty nice !
I've not been able to launch the game despite the updates. I get the initial little "Desura/Eight Days" splash screen, but then right as the main window comes up - "Unexpected error when launching the game", then crash to desktop.
I've tried verifying the files but no improvement. I am running a notebook with Windows XP 32-bit, dual core 2.5ghz, nVidia 9800M GTS, 2.5gigs ram.
I got the game cheap so it's not a big deal, but if there's anything anyone can think of that might help, let me know.
Version 3.12 is out with a few little fixes and improvements. Your auto-updater will notify you the next time you launch Eight Days in Convoke.
-Plasma orbs no longer crash the game if they drain all your fuel and you crash within range of one.
-Fixed a tiny visual bug in the house sprites.
-Smart missiles are now stopped by trees.
-Running out of fuel while in water or on it's surface now destroys your ship.
-A small indicator now appears above humans every few seconds to help you locate them.
will it come out on steam too?
looks great :)
As much as i'd love that to happen, Steam has a very high quality entry standard. I think only the best of the best manage to get onto it.
steam 'standards' are a joke
hah... hehe
