Has anyone actually gotten to play? I've logged in many times and never actually seen anyone online. I'm curious as to maybe, because there aren't many players yet--and you can only see who's in multiplayer-- that maybe everyone just gives up thinking "well I'm the only one on." Maybe if we could see from the main menu, or from in game, anytime we hit escape, how many people are online, or could open up a popup menu that allows us to interact with others...

Just ideas.

Same as above. The kardfly forums seem dead as well, the few posts there hoping that this Desura release would jump-start the community. Without some sort of change to the lobby system though I can't see it happening.

Hi everyone,
We're aware of the difficulties to find someone to play in multiplayer. We're the first ones interested in making easier for you to find other players to play with. We're thinking in new ways to improve the lobby system. Please, if you have any suggestions, let us know.
Thank you very much.
Cheers

If nothing else, include some sort of message in the lobby system a bit more flushed out than "So-and-so has connected", an MOTD-type of thing or greeter bot.

Some sort of indication about expected wait times or how many people are currently playing,

Maybe an Alert/Buzzer when somebody joins or leaves so I can do something other than stare at an empty room.
