Hello everyone!
In this small update we are showing off a quick
video of a new physics engine we are integrating into Desolation: Earth. We realized that the ODE
physics and collision system wasn't living up to expectations within the game.
Taking up too many resources and not delivering expected collision due to slow
calculations. How do we get rid of this problem? Integrating Nvidia PhysX!

Dark Energy has gotten a few upgrades recently
including a tuned up graphical user interface. We have also implemented
"DarkChat" a community chat program that players can use to
communicate with each other outside of the games they are playing. Dark Energy
live support chat has also undergone some minor tweaks, mostly internal stuff.
We are proud to finally announce an account system for Dark Energy and
Desolation: Earth. The login for Dark Energy will be the same information for
Desolation: Earth, and eventually "DarkChat" Making an account is
easy and free. We made several improvements to error reporting for Dark Energy,
explaining in greater detail how to fix a problem. Don't forget there is always
the support chat or tech support email.
Since we have begun
implementing an account system for Desolation: Earth that also means ranks! We
are finally able to start developing a global rank system. We will then work on
creating a user profile page on Desolation: Earths main site where you can look
up or view your own stats. We also have some other cool interface edits we plan
on doing before we roll out the finished game.
