The gear, ambiance, environment and setup looks pretty amazing.

Ironically, the combat that this video was supposed to tease looks.... bad?

Aside from the feedback on firing the weapons, the impacts seem to lack any sort of feedback and makes it look boring and underwhelming.

Maybe having the creatures react, even if it's a miniscule fidget, to getting hit, that would change it at least a little bit.
Obviously having chunks blow off as they get hit would be better.

But that's not the only aspect, it seems pretty monotone and non threatening. It looks so intensely boring, even YOU had to speed up the video to skip through it and make it bearable!

Take a note from Deathwing. You are constantly put under pressure by a credible threat. A threat that varies, and requires different tactics to conquer. You have to rely on your teammates to help you, be it through superior fire power or abilities. In this it just seems like an endless string of the same mook with no specialties on display ( so far ). The lack of differences in environments or interaction with the surroundings etc. doesn't help this.

Perhaps give Space Hulk: Deathwing a shot and see what I mean.

TL;DR
Eitherway, the game looks really promising, but the combat needs some serious additions to be entertaining.

I agree, and ill take it to heart. I feel I need to figure out some more core combat stuff, so probably temporarily strip away the level, multiple swarms, and maybe just have a single swarm, open room, and get creative.

If you see it then, please leave some feedback. I certainly need to make the "core" enemies interesting, well before adding on more different stuff

Thanks for the feedback!
