Meet the Dungeon Master, a cruel benevolent and sadistic peaceful character who will be sure to liven up your Crusader Kings II experience! But what exactly is the Dungeon Master you ask?
Features:
The Dungeon Master is a customisable game master, designed to add random elements ranging from minor character effects to never-before-seen, world-altering, events. The Dungeon Master can adjust your game with a total of 45+ events, both minor and major, with follow ups, strange characters, and even random outcomes for potentially limitless replayability. And that's just the beginning.
The Dungeon Master is currently under testing with a slew of various total conversion mods and is, in theory, compatible with almost all Crusader Kings II mods, total conversions, and minor sub-mods. Game of Thrones, Elder Kings, After the End, and many poor mods have been subject to the Dungeon Master's whims!

Meet the Dungeon Master, a cruel benevolent and sadistic peaceful character who will be sure to liven up your Crusader Kings II experience! But what exactly is the Dungeon Master you ask?
Features:
- The Dungeon Master is a customisable game master, designed to add random elements ranging from minor character effects to never-before-seen, world-altering, events. The Dungeon Master can adjust your game with a total of 45+ events, both minor and major, with follow ups, strange characters, and even random outcomes for potentially limitless replayability. Game of Thrones, Elder Kings, After the End, and many poor mods have been subject to the Dungeon Master's whims!
- The Dungeon Master is also fully compatible, and primarily designed, with multiplayer - in fact almost half the testing of the mod has been done in multiplayer!
- We're constantly adding new events and rebalancing as more testing comes in!
Installation Instructions:
Base Game: Open the DMMOD.zip file and drag BOTH dungeonmaster.zip archive and the dungeonmaster.mod file to the My Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod or your equivalent folder.
Total Conversions: We have made an effort to add the most popular total conversion mods into a second .mod file, contained in the mod folder, to make installation as painless as possible.
Simply put, total conversions alter the games files in such a way that other mods become incompatible unless the right Dependencies are added to the .mod file - and guess what are not supported by the Steam Workshop!
To use Dungeon Master with any of the following mods:

1. Simply go to My Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\dungeonmaster.zip
2. Copy/extact/move the file called "dungeonmaster.mod" out of the dungeonmaster.zip into your My Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\ folder
3. When asked to overwrite the file say "Yes/Confirm/Please" - if you do not get a prompt to overwrite then you have somehow messed up a three step set of instructions. Go back to the start and try again.
4. Enable Dungeon Master and your total conversion mod of choice and launch the game.
5. After getting into game a message from the Dungeon Master will appear, like in the second screenshot, confirming the DM is working!
For all other Total Conversions:
You can manually add dependencies by opening the dungeonmaster.mod file and adding the mod you wants dependencies manually. For example if you wanted to use the Dungeon Master with "Giant Stinky Stinky" mod then simple add dependencies = { "Giant Stinky Stinky" } - this will be trial and error unfortunately, but there are people that can help!
How You Can Help us and How We Can Help You!
Over on my Discord we have set up a specific Dungeon Master channel where we'll be taking bugs, suggestions, and your event submission for the Dungeon Master, along with hearing about how great it is. Please note, this is the ONLY place we'll be taking bug reports as we'll need to work through exactly what caused issues to arise and we're very limited in the workshop with file sharing, mod lists, and mods that simply aren't hosted on steam.
We will offer help with installation and errors however we ask that you have made a decent effort, following the instructions here, to save the sanity of the modders who are freely offering me their time to help with bug fixing.
Credits and Special Thanks
A big thank you firstly to Kekvit Irae for preserving my sanity with a unending slew of bug fixes, localisation, and consistent help throughout the project.
A big thank you as well to my head bug fixers TheInsanePickle and cptnmeringutange for their thorough testing and reporting of my mistakes.
A thank you to ALL community members across the dozens of Youtube episodes and the roughly 3541 suggestions left in my comments section that I had to painfully comb through (apologies to the 3492 of you that didn't make the cut).
And a thank you to YOU at home for playing this nonsense.
