Convoy Dev Update #2

I've been working on the scenario editor. This tool allows us to easily create all kinds of cool scenarios in an easy to use visual interface. It gives a clear overview of all possibilities within a scenario and allows us to easily tweak rewards and triggers.

Convoy Dev Update #2

This week I've designed some vehicles (more on that in a later dev blog) and worked on art for the urban biome. The urban biome is what you see when you are in an urban area. It's more richly detailed then the desert biome but also somewhat darker, with more grey, blue and brown colors. It frequently has overpasses, power lines, traffic signs, and other details coming by. It's not quite finished yet, so no ingame screenshots for now, but still looks awesome!

Convoy Dev Update #2

I finished the laser weapon earlier this week, and I have to say, I'm very happy with the way it turned out. The laser comes in two flavours. One type is a Pulse, this means it shoots in quick succession and does moderate damage per shot at a fairly long range. The other type is the Beam. This is a short range weapon that cannot miss and does lots of damage over time.

Laser weapons aren't very effective against armor, but when that is gone, you better watch out. They does massive damage to health and can quickly turn your vehicle into a molten pile of metal!

Besides the laser weapon, I've also built our website and set up a forum. Head over there to discuss the game, post suggestions and ask questions.

That's it for now, until next week! In the meantime, keep up to date by liking us on facebook or signing up at our forums!
