Conquest of Elysium 3 is an old school fantasy strategy game. You explore your surroundings conquer locations that provides the resources you need. Resources needed vary much depending on what character you are, e.g. the high priestess need places where she can gather human sacrifices, the baron needs places where tax can be collected and where iron can be mined. These resources can then be used for magic rituals and troop recruitments. The main differentiator for this game is the amount of features and special abilities that can be used. The game can be played on Windows, Linux (x86 and raspberry pi) and Mac OSX (intel and powerpc).

When do we get class advancement? (Games : Conquest of Elysium 3 : Forum : Modding Discussion : When do we get class advancement?) Locked

Right now there are two things that are absolutely essential to a casting class that I don't seem to be able to mod:

  • The ability to upgrade a character (example: a Witch's Apprentice to a Witch to a Hag) using a ritual.
  • The ability to name the rituals that a character has access to (for example "Ritual of Mastery" or "Greater Summoning")

Without those two, you basically can't make any class other than generals like the Baron or Senator. So... when do we get real class modding capabilities?

I agree that those two capabilities would be very welcome.

It does seem to be a hole in the full nation modding.

However upgrading can be done by scenario commands. Upgrading units, upgrading sites, etc. Probably scenario commands will always exceed the modding ability for upgrade limited only by creativity.

Scenario commands cannot be given to a class and do not carry over from map to map, so they are useless to my goal of creating classes.

I'm glad you asked, because the ritual of mastery commands are in the game, but missing from the documentation. So here is a quick documentation of the mastery commands.

mastery <monster offset>
(monster offset 1 = become the next monster, 2 = the next next...)
masterycost <cost>
masterycosttype <resource type>

I don't suppose there's also a secret command to name rituals?

Nice, now I can join the modding fun.Is it possible or will it be possible later to have multiple mastery rituals (like warlock can upgrade herself into warlock of one of the four elements)?

right now the last mastery command seems to overwrite the previous mastery commands
