Colonize is a causal puzzle/defense game based on John Conway's Game of Life, a famous cellular automaton where "cells" grow and die over time according to simple rules. While simple, the rules of Life create dazzling, complex patterns. The game is also a research project, and was designed as part of my research on how people learn new, basic behaviors (like mastering a video game). Colonize is currently available on the web, and on Google Play and the Barnes and Noble Nook (android). The game should be available soon on iOS and the Amazon appstore. Main Features: -Over 200 levels -Four play modes: puzzle, defense, sandbox and contests -Five different cell types -Share your creations -Monthly contests -Real-time multiplayer (web version) -Global leaderboards -Play anywhere: sync your game and play on any computer/device
