What’s Bob the Blob all about? The goal of the game is to complete the most wild and diverse platformer levels as fast as possible, while collecting the required amount of blobs. The levels take place all over the universe where Bob gets to travel to with the amazing DDD Device which takes him from one place to another. You also get to goof around the laboratory of the Professor who created you, and investigate various places which open up as the game progresses. The Professor helps Bob with different super powers, such as double jumps, squeezing and a long jump. Prof may also want Bob to collect components for his World Peace Machine, scattered around the levels. There are also lots of interesting extras, secrets and other unlockable content to be found around the game.

Greetings Community!

Together at last!

The iOS version development has begun, but before it can continue we have to ask the community for a favor. BetaDreams requires about 600$ in order buy an iPad2, so we could port Block Planets to iOS devices (iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch) before releasing it. Since we are student indie group and have several things to do before the launch (PR here and there and such) and we're not getting paid for any of this and have no monetary support from a publisher, we need your help with this. We're having a fundraising on a website called www.indieGOGO.com, which runs on donations and where it's free to advertise oneself.

Of course, good deeds are rewarded, and so BetaDreams wants to thank the people who give us a hand. With even a donation as small as 5$ you'll get a password which you can use to download your own copy of the game (for any of the platforms), and bigger sums mean bigger rewards. We hope that you'd have at least a little sympathy for indie developers struggling to survive in cold forests of Finland and dreaming of creating more games in the future.

On another topic, Block Planets finally fully supports Xbox360-controllers, so now you'll be free to use one if you're more familiar with it than you're with mouse and keyboard.

We've also put some effort into the Indie of the Year -event's Top 100 Round, and believe that we possess chances to fare quite well in it! Hopefully you've also voted us, but in case you haven't, there's still time to do it! (What are you still reading this for?) You never know how generous we could get after a healthy dose of feeling of success!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of BetaDreams!
