Blaze is a retro/minimalistic styled sci-fi first person flight/shooter action game. The game can be played almost single handedly with just mouse. It's about shooting a lot of alien things (in semi-randomized missions?). The alien things are trying capture all your base, and have already captured at least half of it. You have to defend the base and capture the alien controlled areas back. Or something like that...
The 3 monsters are now animated.
Here they're idling and occasionally defying physics.
Next steps: polish their textures, make their unique gib models, and do new sounds for everything.
LOL yeah defying physics. Heavy riding a horver bot. Hover bot moves, heavy bot stays in the air. They hover over ramps. Yeah this is some crazy **** bro. Bugs. So with these bugs could they be fixed by turning them diagonal so their feet match the ramps?
Colors look fantastic. I like how they move and wander around.
New gibs should be fun. Good luck on the heavy gibs. New sounds should be cool. It still sounds very Quake, but that's your base. I can only imagine a cyber robot 80s soundtrack.
Yea, should do something about them jumping on top of each other and walker monsters standing in air. At least during regular gameplay they'll eventually jump, and possibly land on the floor...
I think there's some gameplay fix cvar in the engine that can disable monsters from walking in too steep slopes.
