Blaze is a retro/minimalistic styled sci-fi first person flight/shooter action game. The game can be played almost single handedly with just mouse. It's about shooting a lot of alien things (in semi-randomized missions?). The alien things are trying capture all your base, and have already captured at least half of it. You have to defend the base and capture the alien controlled areas back. Or something like that...
With the sword!
Player swings the sword differently based on player's movement direction. At the moment it's just a visual effect, but later on it should matter more. It could also get some alternate short range projectile attack.
Maybe the sword could raise a bit higher before the swing, the arms cover too much of the screen in first person view.
The player gib effect doesn't yet have all the parts. It'll split into smaller parts later.
There's also some issues with the upper body animations restarting the leg animations during the attacks. Not sure what's causing it.
very awesome stuff yo
I remember Morrowind, moving left swings it left, moving right swings it right, moving forward does a stab, holding the button raises the weapon til you release it. So it does more damage and critical hits. I'm so used to the TF2 swordplay with beheadings and the new Shadow Warrior has some awesome swordplay. I do like how the character sways to the side. Wrack explodes everything into blood when it swords.
