Beret is a 2D puzzle-platformer game about a scientist, astonishingly named Beret, who has gained telekinetic abilities through his research at the Evil Corporation. He decides that the Evil Corporation is a tad too evil for his liking, and begins his solitary quest to overthrow the corporation and punish the evil deeds of his employers. Beret has 21 puzzle-filled levels, 120 collectable Medallions, over 20 hours of gameplay, and an unlockable level editor.

A small thing: unless you dig back through the first couple levels looking for the single sign that informs you of this fact, as far as I can tell there is currently no way to be reminded of the key command for restoring from the state prior to your most recent save.

(I've spent the entire game exiting and renaming the backup files when necessary, which is obviously not ideal.)

I was finally compelled to reenter the first couple levels in search of that sign (which, I have to admit, was fun, seeing those early levels again, seeing how well they walk you through learning about the game elements).

For the record, holding Control while pressing 4 or f4 will restore from one save prior to the current.

Perhaps this information could be added to a readme file? Or a screen could be added to the menu that describes all the key commands? (including Shift to run/walk and right-click to show the telekinesis guide.) I could imagine someone playing the first few levels and then taking a break for a few months before finding the time to return. As things stand, if you forget those commands, your only choice would be to replay the opening levels and look for the signs.

A very good point. There is the controls screen that is accessible from the map screen, but I can see how people wouldn't be too inclined to check that after they think they know all the controls. Adding the controls to the readme file is easy, but again, I doubt many people look there. Making the controls screen accessible from the in-level menu is probably the ideal solution.

Ah, I never noticed the text there in the corner of the map screen. My fault for not being observant. Probably still worth adding those screens to the pause menu for others like myself? (I suppose also under the assumption that it's within a level that people will most need the reminder.)

Yep, it's definitely worth it. If you missed it, others will too.
