Description

Aries is a grand strategy game set in space, where you will be able to conquer planets in a campaign to unify the scattered domain of man under one banner. A lot of people that have seen or played it describe it as like star wars empire at war. The core game revolves around a turn-based map that has you manage armies and the star systems under your control. Form the campaign map can set out on wars against enemy factions or make peace and alliances. The process of war involves two types of battles, the space battles where your fleets battle in the vast void of space and ground battles where you pick strategic objectives to complete to gain control over the system.

History

Put simply Aries was born from a love of all things strategy and sci-fi. The one thing that always seems lacking in space strategy games is meaningful combat, or if there is combat, it is at the expense of the planet conquering scale. With Aries, I wanted to address this and have navel and ground combat as a pillar of conquering star systems. Aries is currently being built by a one-man team.
