The game features billiards-like gameplay, as the users' goal is to navigate obstacles and obstructions on the way back home to Aio's family. The way you do that is by launching Aio after he curls up in a ball. Not only do you have to play the right angles to collect stars and get out of levels, but you also have the option of blasting through boxes or other things in your way. However, there's a little bit of a twist as far as the game's mechanics are concerned. Instead of the traditional -- and sometimes frustrating -- pull-back-and-pray method of aiming, Aio Goes home features a really simple firing mechanism: just touch where you want your shot to land.

It might seem elementary, but the gameplay makes the experience simple and fun. I realize it makes the game a little easier, but it makes sense for an iOS game that I'm playing to pass time on the subway. I don't want to re-live my glory days of spending 40 hours a week trying to beat Final Fantasy 7 after school and on the weekends. I just want to interact with something on the train that isn't a homeless person or a guy who looks like he's going to rob me at gunpoint.Aio Goes Home is free to download, and that gets you the first world.

The game offers a one-time in-app purchase of 99 cents to get you the remaining four worlds. I'll take that as a win, considering the game won't restrict my play (here's looking at you, Candy Crush), and the game boasts more than 150 levels. So, it will take enough time for me to spend a few days playing it on my commute.

Overall, Aio Goes Home is worth a look. The gameplay is fun, the graphics look good, and I didn't experience any lag or bugs. I think I've found my next commuting game for the next few weeks.
