“A Nation of Wind” is a video game featuring elements of gameplay from both “Arena Shooters” (like Geometry Wars, Super Stardust, and Asteroids), and “Real Time Strategy” games, (such as Populous, Starcraft, and Actraiser). Set in a world of floating islands and airships, the player is tasked with commanding a ship and establishing/defending colonies. Players will be forced to deal with the bizarre creatures that come up from the lower atmospheres to wreak havoc on their airship and settlements, while appeasing the god’s of the land and eventually bending them to the player’s will. “A Nation of Wind” is currently developed by one intrepid artist, Jameson Wilkins. He is a freelancer with several years of experience in the browser and mobile gaming markets, and has studied game design and art the entirety of his life.

In ANoW beta 1.2 I'll be adding some more purchases to the Skyharbor shop! You've probably noticed that the shop is missing 3 items, but I'll be adding two of them! The first is very simple, nothing more than a full unit recovery for 1000g. Purchase it and all your units will be fully healed. The second though...is much more interesting! For 1000g you can buy the help of a Wind Sprite! Normally she will behave autonomously, attacking enemies on her own and following the player about. Her strength and health regen rate are based on the number of Wind Temples you control. ...But! Should you have a controller plugged in and recognized as controller 1, the game will switch control of her to your friend! If she goes outside the screen, she will teleport back to the Airship. Apart from this she is completely under the control of the other player! You can only have one Wind Sprite at a time. If you re-purchase the Wind Sprite from the store, her HP will be restored instead! |

Woo! The start of 2 player coop for this game! I love it! Cool idea. Reminds me of the Gamecube game Wind Waker and the second player support it gave. |

Verrrry similar to that. The Wind Sprite is essentially a powerful support unit, and she can also be used to pick up coins and resources that enemies drop, but she wont go after those on her own, you'll need another player controlling her to make the most of it! |

Hey, that's more function than I would have expected. Sounds useful indeed! |

Thats an awesome idea! it makes co-op fun, but not necessary for gameplay! keep up the good work. |
