Whats the purpose of updates up top ? Thread

On top it says 25 Updates, right-next to the mail icon. Click on this updates there it doesnt bring up anything new, probably someone has commented on my stuff but where ? have to manually find it ?

The updates section will show you updates for games or mods you follow, so new images, articles and files posted for them, as well as when other members follow you/add you as a friend and a few other little things. That's odd that it said there were updates for you but none when you checked though...

I noticed that too, got 4 updates but not sure what they are. Maybe it would be more useful to actually display each individual update like:

[ Your file has been authorized ][x (clear)]
[ Someone commented on your mod ][x]
etc
