Is Hollow Knight too hard for you? Say goodbye to 'git gud' with god mode. Grants immunity to all damage. (Lifeblood update!)
This mod will prevent all types of damage, including environmental hazards. It also negates knockback effects. This means you can walk right through spikes, enemies, etc. (Nail-jumping still works though!) Unfortunately, this also means that you may occasionally fall through things you aren't supposed to fall through and get stuck. If this happens, don't panic, the game is not broken. Simply reload (by quitting to menu) and you will respawn at the last bench, as usual.
Invulnerability doesn't affect your save file, so you can turn it on and off at will without any long-term effects. Instructions for enabling and disabling the mod are in the readme.
Remember, this file ONLY works with version 1.3.1.5 of Hollow Knight! You can see the version number at the bottom left of the main menu screen.
Notes: Linux is not supported, because I'm unable to test it. Feel free to try it on Linux, but I can't guarantee it'll work. Tested with Mac keyboard controls and Windows keyboard and controller. I've had a report that the mod breaks controller support for Mac - not much I can do about that, unfortunately.

Can we expect this to be a reoccuring file throughout HK's updates?
Yes, you can! I mentioned elsewhere that I probably won’t support beta updates as a rule; otherwise, my plan is to put out a version of Invulnerability for each major update as long as the game is still going (and as long as they don’t change the code to make my hack impossible - that’s not very likely, but it is a possibility). I may not always be super on the ball like I was this time - it might be a week or two before you see a new Invulnerability after an update - but I do plan to support each new version as they come out, yes.

I play HK in linux mint.
The mod is working so far.
I added the file to the folder:
/home/<USER>/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Hollow Knight/hollow_knight_Data/Managed/
The only issue I noticed is that if activated the input of game controllers are not working, so you have to play with the keyboard instead.
If you switch back to the former file game controller works again.

What's the hexedit change required to make this work? The new version is out and I would love to update my .exe to cheat my way through the new content.
It's not the exe, but an dll. Load the old version and read the readme, the info is in there.

I'm sorry to say it but you may be out of luck. As far as I know this will only work on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
