Description

Here's what I loosely did for the past days.

After torturing myself about pre-thinking design and make everything perfect from the start, I finally opted for the easier path of "make it work first". That led to simplifying the structure of the scene and systems a lot, despite the weaker methods. I also ported some actions into separate little scripts that handle more specific stuff, like the bobbing effect, or the cannon's controls; still for the sake of simplifying. Started messing with entity pooling as well, which I might expand on when more entity types will need it.

Pretty much everything you see in this video are test assets, which I made for 98% of them (all except the fire balls and a slightly edited ground texture). None are final or in final version and the ones I didn't make were borrowed in legal bounds.

Next update might have actual interactive physics, fixes to the bobbing and probably targets for upcoming tests!

PS: yeah, that "Lower Cavern" demo theme sounds like I used some cheap homemade instrument ripoffs, but it wasn't even supposed to be added here, or not this soon if anything. :p
