Aerosphere Studios is an independent game development studio. We are currently producing the game, Aero Empire (see games). Aerosphere Studios started out as the CGP - Collaborative Game Project, where a group of individuals online were brought together to design and create a game. Founded by Terra Nova in September, 2008, the CGP recruited members of various talents - including Timmon and Red Owl, concept artists and designers who have been a part of the CGP and Aerosphere Studios since it's inception. After brainstorming ideas, Aero Empire was drafted and decided upon by the team in October. The game design was then fleshed out and polished, and implementation began on the game in November, 2008. Now, six months later, Aerosphere Studios has completed the Cumulonimbus Engine, the engine which Aero Empire will run on, developed in C++ and OpenGL. The indie group Aerosphere Studios is currently seeking a texture artist for its upcoming game, Aero Empire, set to launch late 2010/early 2011. Best described as "Da Vinci-steampunk," the world of Aero Empire is based entirely on mountaintops, in an age of air ships and precarious politics. Players rise through the ranks of the military in a shifting, organic world, driven by a vast population of AI-controlled characters. Blending multiple genres, from shooter to strategy, Aero Empire is aiming to be a world players have never seen, and a type of game they have never played.

What we need now are texture artists to assist on all models in the game. Applicants can work on Airships, Weapons, Characters, Buildings, Plants or Animals; just specify which you prefer to texture on in your application. Applicants can work in any imaging software they like, and are not required to UV Map. However, you should be familiar with how to work with and view a uvmap, and we could also use uvmappers who know how to uvmap models.
