Mission Statement
The Mission of The Multiverse Software Foundation is to shepherd the open source Multiverse Virtual World and MMOG Platform.
This includes the technology behind the system, as well as the community of users and developers.We aim to advance the knowledge, usage, and availability of free open source software and tools.
We do not limit how the Multiverse platform can be used. We encourage casual usage as well as usage by for-profit businesses. The Multiverse Software Foundation functions as a non profit entity.We believe this is the best way to advance the future of virtual worlds and MMOG platforms.
Our Values
- We will strive to be the best - even in our spare time we are restless, always learning, always improving. We constantly set high standards and then try hard to exceed them. We deliver results to our community and celebrate our success.
- We value each other - we seek and benefit from diverse people and perspectives. We strive to create mutually fulfilling relationships and partnerships.
- Innovation in development is an important part of anyone's work, but it also creates challenges - we believe in creating an open environment and community where people can find help, whatever the problem.
- We trust each other, and we're open and challenging. The Foundation always behaves as a team - when we're together and when we're apart. We always encourage our community members to take the same attitude.
Our Goals
- To establish services for active users and developers of the Multiverse Platform
- To maintain and improve the current Multiverse Platform product via a public accessible source code system under the MIT license.
- To establish funding or revenue mechanisms that serve the foundation's goals and cover the foundation's expenses.
- To provide studios and small teams with a complete, free and open source MMO creation platform.
Current Projects
No games, mods, engines, software or hardware appear to be published or in development by Multiverse Foundation. We suggest you add games, mods, engines and hardware you are developing here (or update existing games, mods, engines and hardware on the site which should be linked with this Developer).
