I went with Rovio because they've already turned Angry birds into a brand and have begun licensing the brand into toys, ads and I hear rumors of a cartoon. Notch still needs to turn Minecraft into a bit more than a Indie hit to keep the money flowing in, especially now that he's started his game company Majong.
There were several games exactly like angry birds long before it came out... I have more respect for Notch than the angry bird developers, for me, I'm more interesting in seeing original awesome games like Frozen Synapse and Minecraft than games like angry birds. From a business perspective angry birds made the money but it seems for the most part people are here for the love of making games, not money. Just my two cents.
You realize there were games just like Minecraft before Minecraft. "Original" nowadays means, "The one people know about vs. the one that failed in obscurity."
it makes me pretty stoked that over 50% of people are alright with being themselves, instead of being someone who already made a famous game. Maybe some people out of that 55% will create larger games than both minecraft and angry birds combined!?
:o
I really like being myself ^^/ I respect both notch and rovio and enjoing minecraft and angry birds. Personally I would like to work at mojang or Valve :D:D
I love both Minecraft and Angry Birds.
I'm all for originality myself, but I don't hit others for not doing so. I would rather be myself though as I'm not worried about money or satisfying an audience like Notch and Rovio have to be. I can make any obscure concept I want and take it where I want, not where the audience wants it to be.
what a question?
as you see most people are happy with what they are or at least want to improve what they are but don't want to be any other.
if legendary developers like carmack or abrash were in the list or someone like einstein/newton, i might love to be them but these guys?
they surely made good games and lots of money but these are not big additions to our world, are they?
we (indies) are more ambitious than what you thought when creating this poll :D
I'm okay with being me, as I'm not crazy about the other two games. I prefer the companies behind the AAA games >.<
I'll stick with being me, until Angry Birds or Minecraft amazes me beyond simply being a causal pass time.
Interesting to choose between one person and a hundred people :)

Agreed, Angry Birds can be fun but it's basically just one of those Crush the Castle-style flash games

I avoid Minecraft like the plague.
I've unlocked levels in Angry Birds for my father, but I don't love the game.
...I'd rather be Bioware (work on RPGs) or Valve (need I say more?), frankly.
Verant Interactive... :]

Don't know about that, but I do have plans...
And I say this one more time, and then no more:
I. Don't. Play. Minecraft. And. You. Can't MAKE ME! *yells this at imaginary elephant)
@plasticwrap it makes me pretty stoked that over 50% of people are alright with being themselves
imo its awesome, I don't know about become bigger but I would rather be myself than anyone else being original is what makes us all different ;p
Notch is a cool guy, but I'm happy being me. Plus, I plan to make both Notch and Rovio look small time in the future, so there is that too.

Neither, because they both made bad games.

In Soviet Russia, Notch wants be YOU!
Notch, because then I'd get a lot of vacations and have a buttload of money.
An Angry birds minecraft mod would be deadly lol
