Hello moddb.com folk!
We have a special interview now up at the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Official Community Site! In the interview Splashdamage's Ed 'BongoBoy' Stern asks about our respective backgrounds, the beginnings of Wheels of War and how development has been progressing.
Also included are some new snippets of information regarding gametypes and gameplay features which will be added to the modification. We even give out some advice to other people considering starting their own mod teams, based on our own experience.
The last thing to mention is that within the interview text there is one in-game screenshot featuring a zombie, and also a textured render. Our new animation fanatic 'madNORMan' has been hard at work rigging up and getting these zombies doing what they do best: look completely stupid! These are the first public teaser shots of our zombies and hope you like them.
If you have any more questions after reading it, you can leave comments on our own forums at Wheelsofwar.co.uk or on the ET:QW community site.
OMG comment!
Oh see you! *shakes fist*
I played the demo and LOVED IT! so I bought the full game and couldn't play it because of driver issues and ultimate lag... and I can play crysis no problem.
So I e-mail and make forum posts to see what can be done.. and I do manage to fix a few problems but for the most part, its unplayable.
to add insult to injury, NO ONE PLAYS! over 500 servers and all I see is bots and 80 or so scattered players most of whom dont speak English and are on high ping far far away servers.
so - I bought this totally awesome potential game to be beaten down by a unfriendly engine that hates my chipset (that plays crysis) and a very weak community.
P.S. your mod looks awesome!
Have you tried the latest 1.4 update? Maybe that will help you. They added a hot servers feature that makes it easier to find a populated (but not full) server that is close to your location.
Actually, I always just used Server Filters to filter out Empty servers. I don't even use the "hot servers" feature, I think it's pretty useless when you can just use the Filters.
