Looks like it's been a while since our last update but the team have been working hard yet again. In fact we've had a lot more work done on the modeling and artwork front than we have in a while. Unfortunately we can't show you what has come of that yet.
What we can do however is show you some gameplay footage.
As you can see, we've finally got DRADIS working. This is something we've had coming for a long time. The Theseus and Basestar can finally be seen pounding away at each other. We have yet to decide how much pounding they actually can withstand before one wins though.
In fact large parts of the balancing effort still require work. The game is playable but not very enjoyable yet. Missions still require a lot of polishing and some other things (like the tutorials) still haven't been started. But as you can see, we have made a lot of progress with the game. Despite the lack of updates recently we've definitely not run out of steam.
One thing that the video doesn't show is that we've made quite a bit of progress with the in-game audio. Although the music you are hearing is a piece by one of our composers it doesn't show quite how much music we actually have ready for the game. Nor how much work we've done on getting the sound effects just right. You'll probably have to wait for the final game to hear that.
NICE! This looks magnificent!
Indeed. =)
breath-taking... It Looks like high quallity commerical game ;)
ow noes they did it again
DAMNIT they keep on torturing us with so much awsomeness that we can't play with
AWESOME!
just a small problem i noticed in ALL of your trailers:
the afterburners
they dont even look like afterburners...just...white...round spheres
try making a real afterburner
a little more similiar to a normal plane's afterburners
with a REAL BIG fire coming out...:P
the theseus is great guys...
What you've actually seen are not afterburners, but a viper flying under normal power. In addition, there are no big flame afterburners in the show - the engines merely start glowing more brightly. We won't have them either - there were some big flame afterburners in the original BSG show from the 70's but this game will be based on the new show.
Very nice looking work there guys, you've got a really epic cinematic feel to your graphics especially when the explosions start raking over the capital ships. Liking the in cockpit views from your spacecraft too.
Keep up the good work, looking forward to this.
Looks really great. Keep it up!
This game will be amazing.
It is The Shape of Things to Come.
