2nd article about our academical comic based game, Arzach.

Hello everyone!


Welcome to our second update on our academical project - Arzach.

Let's talk about what was done this week, starting with Game Design:

We developed the ideas for 2 stories.

The first one will be a 2D side scroller where the player controls the main character and a cyborg pterodactyl in a series of levels in which they have to avoid projectiles thrown by cavemen.

On the second one, the player fights a giant monkey on a Top Down setting, in which they have to survive long enough while avoiding the monkeys hands in order to defeat it.

We are also thinking of implementing some sort of world map where the player moves through predefined paths to choose the area or level that they want to play.

Development itself has also started with the primary focus being the first level - the side scrolling flight.

Regarding Art, we just finished the start screen:

And we are also working on the environment (still in progress) for the first level:

With that being said, we are also still exploring the color palettes to decide which colors fit better.
