Beware with Id Software. Some years ago, I was creating Unreal DooM, an TC for Unreal Tournament. We got a email from Todd Hollenshead, CEO of id Software, with a "cease and decist" request.

Be careful of not getting a email from ID. UnrealDooM was killed by a Cease and Desist mail from ID, a lot of time ago.
