The Desura version can be redownloaded at any time. Also, I really don't mind if you back it up onto a CD.

Hi, can you check if there is an Users\<you>\AppData\Star-Twine folder? (Or if you're on XP, it would be \Documents and Settings\<you>\Application Data\Star-Twine). If this folder exists, there should be a crash log inside; send me the contents and I'll look into it!

Sorry about the Desura issues, we are working on getting Star-Twine to be redeemable on Desura so hopefully that will be happening soon. For now, you can contact support@lunarworkshop.com to get a direct download link. If you want to add that to Desura, you can follow the steps feillyne posted. Thanks for your support!

Star-Twine will be available through star-twine.net as well as GamersGate.com and Desura on launch. A Steam release could be a possibility in the future but it will not be launching on Steam.

I'm not planning on having a public beta. Release is set for the April 29th and there will be a demo version available as well.

Thanks for the feedback! You can actually build things at a small distance currently, although there's no glowing string indicating where you're building currently. It just picks the closest available spot. That's something I might consider adding in later though!

Thanks! Defenders have a somewhat short range. Missile launchers are like turrets in that they have infinite range but can only target the enemy structure that is closest to them, so positioning is important. For example, you can be safe against missile launchers as long as you have something in between your base and any position that the enemy could build one safely.

I haven't decided on pricing yet, but there will definitely at least be a free demo!
